For whom the bell tolls
Well, I guess I knew this day would come. I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago because I've had a couple of skipped heart beats in the past 3 months. I've always had a very minor irregular heart beat. Sometimes it will just flutter a bit and it's no big deal. But, these missed heartbeats are a bit more concerning. I get dizzy and have to take deep breaths. My EKG was fine but now I'm signed up for a stress test. My cholesterol numbers are a bit higher than they would like so they want to to put me on medicine. No way! I told them to give me 60 days and then we will re-test. I'm not going to take medicine for something that I can fix by not being lazy. So, I've gone back on Weight Watchers and I'm exercising every day but Sunday. I'm determined for those numbers to look entirely different in 2 months. I'm eating oatmeal every day for breakfast, flax seed, doubled up on my fish oil, broccoli, and green tea. I'm also taking plant sterols and garlic. I'm mostly eating a vegetarian diet, and lots of fresh veggies. I've just been served a wake up call... I needed motivation to stick to a diet and here it is. I've been at it over a week now and I'm feeling great. Think good thoughts for me and hope for great results.
