And the baby bunnies arrive in time for Easter

I told you this was going to be the most boring blog in the world. But, here is my excitement for today...

We always have new baby bunnies in the spring, so yesterday 3 of the tinniest baby bunnies all came out to see the world. I couldn't get my camera ready in time to get a picture of them all together and then they split up really fast. You can see this bunny is staining right in front of the hole that they go into to hide.

They don't seem to like to stay together when they are out eating. Then later in the day I saw number four. It's funny how they all just pop out on the same day. George and I are speculating if mom quits feeding them, or they get curious, or she nudges them out. Not sure how that whole transition goes. We have a shed attached to our fence that we use to hold the lawnmower and planters and things like that. It just looks like part of the fence, and the bottom is the ground with rocks on top. The bunnies love that shed and have babies in it every year. Our fence also has a hollow place between our side and the neighbors. So, they have many places to escape if they feel threatened. It's like a hidden tunnel they go into. They just love our yard. They are just so fun to watch when they are small. Of course when they get bigger, George is very disturbed when they mess up his grass. I have to go watter all the spots they make so he doesn't get too mad at them. They just sit in one spot and do their business there while they eat, so they can make a brown spot very quickly.

Well here are some pictures:

One of the squirrels is very curious about the baby bunnies. She keeps trying to check them out. She actually got down on the ground after this picute and got as close as she could before he ran off. She's our smallest squirrel and I think this might be the first time she's seen a baby bunny. So cute...

I want a bunny now..Other than I think my dogs might try to eat it. Maybe not such a good idea.

Seriously, lucky you! It looked small, but the picture with it and the squirrel shows how small it really is. How cute!! Love you two!!

CUTE!!! They remind me of the bunnies we had when we were little. Too bad the dog next door thought they were cute too! But we won't talk about that :)
