Meet Bailey and Maya

Sorry for not posting sooner. George and I went to visit my dad in Missouri over Father's day. It was so much fun. We went floating in canoes, went to Silver Dollar City. In general, it was just good to see my dad. My step brother is so cool too. Then we went to see Shalise over 4th of July. I know you will all be shocked, but I didn't take a single picture. It's so sad. I really don't like to take my big camera on trips, and George left our little one in the cab in Italy. The big camera is good for family things but too big to lug out on trips. My Canon is really a nice camera but it gets dirty inside, really easily. It really makes me reluctant to use it. I've had to do 3 major cleanings on it and it's a real pain. My only other excuse is that we were so relaxed and enjoying ourselves that I forgot for a couple of days. Shalise posted the only picture we took on her blog. Sad days, I know..

Maya Kitty in her very plush bed. She's going today to the vet today. I'm sure she won't like that too much.
Maya sleeping on my computer desk by the window.

Maya close up. I just love that freckle on her nose.

Here we are outside and she has climbed up on my shoulder. She is very scared of outside. I think she has spent most of her life in a cage. Big spaces kind of freak her out. So, I just hold her and she is fine. She is such a snuggler. I'm really happy about that. We will only have her outside when we are out there. I'm a big proponent of indoor cats.

Here's our new Beagle, Bailey. She is so much fun. She loves to run around in the back yard. Now if they just came potty trained... LOL She loves to move the rocks that border our house out into the yard. If you look closely you can see the red colored rock on the grass out in front of her. She chewes on them and carries them around with her.

Here's a close-up of her cute face. Don't you just love those little Beagle sad eyes.

This one she is moving a bit but she is really cute outside.

Here she is on the steps outside. You can see how big the collar is on her. She's only about 8 weeks old and not big enough to fill it out yet.

And how she spends a lot of her time right now:
She just loves to grab up something and run across the yard with it in her mouth. It can be rocks, leaves, her bone, a stick, a piece of mulch, or a pulled up piece of grass. So funny...

OH MY HECK! It is "Bunny"! I got a little choked up over the Beagle! I am sure Dad has told you about Bugs & Bunny! Oh how we loved them and all their little puppies! SO FUN!

I am glad you have a new kitty! I am a HUGE supporter of the outside cat...but most likely it is because of the convolsions of sneezes that come over me around anything that says, sounds like, looks like or thinks about cat! :)

Oh, how cute.

I am a fan of pets. Sometimes they drive you crazy, but you just can't stand to be without them.

So so so darling!!!

Amy,

Your dad talks quite frequently about Bugs and Bunny. He was very fond of them too. That's why we got a beagle. The dog breed was all his choice. I just told him it had to be small enough to stay in the house/bed/couch with us. And, they already sleep with us. It's a bit of chaos, but it will get better as they get older. They mostly sleep through the night.
